Afterward is an experimental videogame that aims to be maximally expressive in a minimal way. Its game mechanics, audio, and visuals all serve to establish a distinct emotional rhythm and progression for the player.



A few hints from the author:

-Afterward takes place over a finite number of days. So each time your character goes to bed, the game progresses.

-You cannot "lose" Afterward in the traditional sense. There is just one ending.

-As the game progresses, you will begin to see patterns and changes emerging.

-My intent is that the player think about the game's meaning and come to his or her own conclusions upon completing it. The meaning of Afterward is ultimately up to you.
