This U.S. Fire Administration Field Operations Guide (FOG) mobile application provides all fire and emergency personnel access to a digital form of the Field Operations Guide as a subset to the National Incident Management System Incident Command System in conjunction with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 5. The mobile application provides all procedures and Incident Command System forms as a reference, operating tool and study guide for personnel. The Incident Command System forms are fillable, including the ability to sketch the incident within the appropriate form and can be saved, printed, or emailed to a supervisor or Incident Commander. Likewise, photographs can be taken with the user's mobile device and attached to an outgoing email with corresponding forms. An Incident Commander is any individual, Federal or general public (such as a Fire Chief, Sheriff, Occupational Health and Safety Administration employee, etc.) so designated under National Incident Management System that is assigned to handle an incident. This initiative enhances the current process and capability of using a desktop or laptop computer in locations other than on the scene of the incident to complete the forms.
