What started out as 30 newsletters passed around to friends and classmates—quickly turned into a college-based mini media-empire. In just six month's time, The Saginaw Valley Journal surpassed the older, school-sponsored student newspaper at SVSU in circulation, revenue, and Web traffic; and it hasn't looked back. The Saginaw Valley Journal now consistently breaks more news than any other campus media outlet.



The Saginaw Valley Journal practices 'digital-first journalism' and serves over 12,000 students, staff, and faculty with news and information on the issues that are critically important to the campus community.
