Description:
Rainbit is the todo list app that allows you to organise, sort and search your data by colour. It gives you the freedom to organise things in a completely personal and expressive way, without restriction.
Start off by creating some todos. Todos are simple chunks of text that can be used to store notes and task information.
Create todos by tapping the '+' button in the bottom left hand corner. Type your todo text in the popup box and hit 'Create' to create a todo. Tap on the todo to view and edit it. You can create as many as you like, at any time.
Your new todos will appear at the top of the screen but at the moment they are all grey and boring, so lets liven things up a bit with some colour. Tap the palette icon next to the '+' to bring up your Paint Palette. Swipe left and right through your palette to browse the spectrum.
Drag and drop colours from your palette onto your todos to paint them: this is how you can go about organising your data. The way you paint them is up to you. We offer no guidelines on 'what to paint' or 'how to paint it', leaving you to decide how you want to organise things.
You can arrange the order of your todos by pulling them to the side and then dragging and dropping them about to rearrange them.
How you arrange your data is up to you, but you can always choose to sort everything on the screen automatically by turning on Rainbow Sort. Tap the little rainbow next to the palette icon to let Rainbit rearrange everything into a rainbow for you. You can snap out of Rainbow Sort mode and go back to arranging in your own order by dragging and dropping a todo item onto another or by tapping the rainbow icon again.
The number of todos you store in Rainbit can get pretty big and it can become hard to find the data you want instantly – that's where Colour Search comes in.
Say for example you want all of the todos of a particular colour, all you have to do is drag and drop a colour from the palette or a coloured todo, into the area right above the list that says 'Drag and drop here to filter your Todos by colour'. You can drop as many colours as you want to build your own custom colour search.
But you don't have to add individual colours to your search filter manually: type the name of a colour into the search bar at the top and Rainbit will automatically find all the todos that match that shade, for example typing 'red' will bring up all your todos that are a shade of red. You can search for multiple shades at once by separating the colour names by a comma, for example typing 'Red, Green' will bring up all the todos that you've painted red or green. You can then further customize the search filter by dropping colours from the palette into it.
Whilst Colour Search is on, you can still rearrange and sort your todos at your convenience. To go back to viewing all of your data in one big list, hit 'Clear' in the top right hand corner to clear the search filter and exit Colour Search.
And that's it! If you ever get stuck, tap the information icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to see a simple step-by-step tutorial on how to use Rainbit.
